Ireland by Tim Vicary (3)

This time, I would like to write about chapter 2 of this book.

Chapter 2 is about around the island of Ireland. Ireland is an island like a plate. Which means it is higher on the out side than in the center. I thought that this is like a caldera. I live in Kumamoto and caldera is one of the famous things in Kumamoto.  The center of Ireland, there are beautiful lakes and rivers. People go there to fish and sail.

Most of Ireland's mountains are not very high - the highest mountain is Carrantouhill (1,040 meters.) Mt. Aso is 1,592 meters so I can imagine that Carrantohill is not very high and the name includes "hill", not "Mt."

"Much of the north and west of Ireland is very beautiful. There are hundreds of flowers in the green fields, and there are wonderful beaches and lakes." (p. 3)

This sentence  makes me imagine a so beautiful scenery. Also the weather is warm and wet in Ireland. This seems good to live in.

However, the center and east of Ireland are very different. People do farmer there and Irish milk and meat are best in the world.

Chapter 2 tells us many good points of Ireland. This chapter makes readers want to go to Ireland.
