Web by John Wyndham (1979)

This week I read "Web". I trief to read level 5 so this book was a liitle bit difficult to read for me. "David reached rhe trees and put his hand up to touch the white stuff that covered them. Them something seemed to fall on him, hiding him from us, and suddenly there was a loud scream"(p.24)      The white stuff is web, spider’s nest and something fall on him is brown patches, so many spiders. After that he was killed by them. This scene was the most awful scene for me. It’s gross when I imagine about this scene. “‘We can’t simply do nothing. I’ve got an idea - have got any insecticide?’”(p.28)      The island where seemed an inhabitant island but there was more than thousands of spiders, so one of the group got this good idea. They used insecticide for their body and successfully, the spiders couldn’t hurt them. But in this story, some people killed by spiders. “‘I am Naeta, son of Nokiki. It was in the time of my father . . .’ he began and, with em

Macbeth by William Shakespeare (2004)

This week I read "Macberh" thre were many people in this story so it's difficult to remember these people. "Third Witch: Your children will be kings, although you won't be king. So hail, Macbeth and Banquo!"(p.5)      Macbeth and Banquo met witches in the forest and they heard about their future from the witches. And Macbeth knew that he will be king but present king is alive now so he decided to kill him. He also killed his best friend, Banquo because his sons will be king but his murderer failed to kill his sons. I think this scene is start of this story. "Macbeth: I saw him as clearly as I am standing here. In the past, when men died violent deaths, that was the end of them. But now, a dead man comes back again with cuts all over his head and pushes me out of my chair."(p.30)      From this scene, he could see a ghost of Banquo but no one believed him and they thought that he was ill. I feel so scared when I read this scene because

Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens (2000)

This week I read Oliver Twist. He was a strange boy. He was about Oliver's age, but he behaved like a man.(p.13)              Oliver escaped from new family because they treated him badly and violently. Then he walked so long and he was starving. When he sit down on a street, this strange boy helped him. I think this meering changed him life and I was happy to read this scene. 'Oh, you really expect him to come back, do you?' said Mr Grimwing. 'That boy has new clothes, good books under him arm and a five pound note in his pocket. He will join his old friends, the thieves, and laugh at you. If he retuns to his house, I will eat my head!(p.26)            Oliver bigan to live a rich man and he lead a great life. But one day, the man sent him to retun a book to bookshop. Man's friend didn't trust him because he was a thief before. Oliver was thinking that he do this work honestly buy he was caught by thiefs and he couldn't back to the man's house.
